Solar Eclipse Observation in Formentera
RESTRICTED ACCESS NOTICE: To preserve the ecosystem of Es Cap de Barbaria and prevent the collapse of public roads, private vehicle access is strictly prohibited. Access to the observation area will be managed exclusively through the official shuttle service run by the organization. It is mandatory to select a departure time slot when purchasing your ticket.
How the access operations work

Seat reservation
Select your fare and the time slot for your outbound shuttle bus. Each shift has a capacity strictly limited to 110 seats.

Travel to Sant Francesc
Reach the bus stop on the Sant Francesc bypass using your own vehicle or via regular bus lines L1 or L2 (see timetables below).

Boarding and material distribution
Present your digital ticket when boarding the official bus assigned to your time slot. Your official observation kit will be handed to you at this moment.

Continuous return
Once the observation has ended (starting from 21:30 h), the shuttle buses will make continuous return trips to Sant Francesc.

To facilitate your travel to the boarding point in Sant Francesc, the Consell has enabled additional services and reinforcements on the following regular public bus lines:
Circular Line L1 (Departure from Es Pujols)

3. Fares and Inclusions
Ticket Prices
- General Admission (Adults): 9.00 €
- Reduced Fare (Seniors +65 and youth from 7 to 18 years old): 4.50 €
- Children (Aged 6 and under): FREE (It is mandatory to process the €0.00 ticket in the booking system to reserve a physical seat on the transport).
What is included in your ticket?
- Full round-trip transfer on the official shuttle bus (Sant Francesc Bypass ↔ Es Cap de Barbaria Barrier).
- Commemorative event bag.
- Approved solar observation glasses with certified safety filters.

4. Return Operations
The return shuttle service from the Es Cap de Barbaria barrier back to the Sant Francesc bypass will begin at approximately 21:30 h and will run continuously as buses fill up, ending completely at 23:00 h.
5. Accessibility, Safety, and Sustainability
- People with Reduced Mobility (PRM): Specially adapted transport is available. It is essential to contact us prior to purchasing your ticket via our WhatsApp support assistance at +34 677 67 95 34 to properly arrange the travel protocol and logistics.
- Mandatory Eye Protection: Due to strict medical recommendation, observing the sun without the provided official approved glasses is strictly prohibited. Improper use of the material is the sole responsibility of the attendee.
- Environmental Commitment: The area of the Es Cap Lighthouse is an environment of special fragility and protection. We ask for your utmost cooperation in preserving the surroundings: please always stay within marked areas, avoid disruptive noise, and properly use the bins provided to dispose of waste.
